About Us

We are 2 students from belgium. We study embedded electronics at the Thomas More university. This site is made for a project in the second fase of the teaching career. We are learning how to devolop a succesfull program and how we need to bring it on the market.

Hello i am Robin. I live in a small town named "Londerzeel" its pretty countrified but still close to the major city's like Brussel and Antwerp.

I have studied Electro Mechanics in my secondary school. I completed whit charm and look back at that time as a fun place to be because you can actualy make something from scratch. I had a great base to study on into that course but i found that it lacked the skill of computer science and thats how i got into Thomas More Embedded Electronics.

Hello my name is Christophe Huybrechts and I live in Grobbendonk which is a small town in the neighbourhood of Antwerp.

I'm a student Elctronics-ICT at "De Nayer Instituut" in Sint-Katelijne-Waver. I'm passionate about music, science, gaming and robotics.

PHP

PHP is a server-side scripting language designed primarily for web development but also used as a general-purpose programming language.

HTML5 & CSS3

HTML5 is a markup language used for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. CSS is used for styling it.

Jquery/ Javascript

jQuery is a cross-platform JavaScript library designed to simplify the client-side scripting of HTML.It is free, open-source software using the permissive MIT license.

SQL lite

SQL is a domain-specific language used in programming and designed for managing data held in a relational database management system.

Google Api

We used a lot of google their api's into this project : google calendar , google maps , ...

Openweather map

We used "https://openweathermap.org/api" as our api to get all the information about weather.

Explaining :

In this block diagram you see how the project is put together. It may change in the future because the reflection we wanted is not achieved. Momentairy we have taken a old cheap lcd screen with a vga connection. This can be changed in the future to get even bether screne quality. On the screen we have placed a plexi glass with a special foil on it this foil is responsible for the mirroring of the screen. Above that we have placed a resistive touchscreen panel this very cheap but doesnt work al that great so we advice to use a capacitive touchscreen and dubble check that it is a clear touchscreen NOT mat ;).
All of that will be connected to a rasberry pi where the sofware on runs. On the rasberry pi we have connected also 2 sesnors. The left one will be used to mesure the temperature and the right one will capute movement. This will enable the mirror and go to sleep when there isnt any movement found.

est Electronics-ICT at Thomas More Electronics-ICT is a three-year technological study dealing with personal computers, pc networks, internet technology and data communication. This type of study is meant to attract youngsters of general and technical secondary education who are fascinated by the functioning of a pc in all of its aspects. Practically speaking you will learn to work with network appliances, web design, operating systems, the installation of network servers, computer control, domotics and multimedia, chip design, pc-hardware and electronic hardware and software.
